Metaplanet has a new major shareholder: a subsidiary of Fidelity holds 12.9% worth $820 million.

[Coin World] Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich announced that National Financial Services has become a major shareholder of the company. As of June 30, National Financial Services LLC holds 84.4 million shares of the company, accounting for 12.9% of the total share capital, valued at approximately 130 billion yen (approximately 820 million USD). NFS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fidelity Investments and typically serves as the custodian for retail investors and institutional investors purchasing stocks through the Fidelity platform.
